Meadows Baptist Church History
God used 7 men who sought his will for a community church in Marlboro Meadows, a community in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. Meadows Baptist was chosen and it was established in 1976. Patuxent Elementary School was selected as the first place of worship on October 16, 1976. Fifty-four members were in attendance at the first Sunday School Class and Worship Service. In November of 1977, the congregation purchased 7.2 acres of land on Croom Station Road in Upper Marlboro. The last two decades were filled with various ministries such as the development of Vacation Bible School, Turning Point, Warm Nights, various conferences and ongoing outreach programs. The church continues to follow God’s leading by promoting Christian development and growth for the Church and its congregation and the community.
Matthew 16:18 And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.
