Following Solomon’s Footsteps
Dear MBC Church Family,
When young Solomon, as the newly appointed king, had the opportunity to ask God for anything his heart desired, his request was to be a better leader of God’s people. Solomon acknowledged his inexperience and recognized that he was not wise enough to govern properly. Because of this he humbled himself before God and asked to be endowed with the wisdom and knowledge required to be a good leader. Solomon set for us the example to follow to overcome our own weaknesses and take on God’s strength, a strength that comes from hearing His voice, to face any unexpected challenge. As a result God honored Solomon’s prayer.
On May 15th we will have an opportunity to follow in Solomon’s footsteps. On that Virtual Day of Prayer we will acknowledge with all humility our own weaknesses, seek God’s face, and listen for Him to speak to us with answers to our troubling questions (Proverbs 3:5-6). In the same spirit of humility (2 Chronicles 7:14), we will ask God for His healing touch on our lives and on the lives of our loved ones, and to bring an end to this pandemic. More details will be found on the church’s website.
Continue to let others know that they can join us remotely in our worship services and daily prayer times. We are blessed to have our worship team at church each week to help us stay connected. Here are the details to pass along to others:

The Stations of the Cross are still on display for visitors to come, meditate and pray in a safe environment to stay in touch with God. Additionally, someone will always be at the church from noon to 1:00pm every day of the week to pray for anyone who feels overwhelmed and can join either in-person or remotely through Skype or conference call. We recently had a couple of people stop by during the week for special prayer, even while socially distancing. We know God will honor their prayer requests.
God bless and keep you and your family.
