There’s Nothing For Us To Fear
Dear MBC Church Family,
During our noontime prayers this week, we were excited to feel the presence of God right in our midst. At times it felt like we were reliving Acts chapter 2 on the Day of Pentecost. God’s Spirit was so real to us it felt like He was there in the room. Some of the assurances He gave us while we prayed were about His protection over us, His love for us, and the peace and comfort we find in His word. It is good to know that He is always watching over us and that there’s nothing for us to fear.
Each day we’re also praying that God will give us His vision for how we as a church can help others who may not have this same assurance but are struggling, either with unemployment, or emotional stress, or family turmoil. He has spared us for a reason and we know that it’s for us to be His hands and feet to reach others for Him. If you are aware of a way the church can help those in need, let us know.
Our daily prayer times are still going strong, but we believe God is calling us to do more. God tells us in 2 Chronicles 7:14 in reference to the plague ravaging His people, “If my people … will humble themselves, seek my face, and pray … then will I heal their land.” In a couple of weeks we will publicize a call for our communities and county to join us in a day of prayer to ask God to make plain the solution for overcoming this pandemic. We believe God is using this plague to draw His people closer to Him and as we do, He will reveal how to draw this pandemic to a close.
While this pandemic is taking its toll on people we know, we will continue with the daily prayer times and worship services. Feel free to pass these details on to others who may want to join us by Skype: https://join.skype.com/P8TRBZjej8aU; or by conference call: Dial-in: (978) 990-5159, Access Code: 294069.
Sunday morning Worship Service (11:30am - Touchless Worship, social distancing)
Monday through Saturday Noontime Prayer (12:00pm-1:00pm)
Thursday evening Bible Study (7:00pm – 8:00pm)
The Stations of the Cross are still on display at least through the beginning of summer for visitors to come, meditate and pray in a safe environment to stay in touch with God. Additionally, someone will always be at the church at noon every day of the week to pray for anyone who feels overwhelmed and can join either in-person or remotely through Skype or conference call
God bless you and your family.
