God Has Really Blessed Us
Dear MBC Church Family,
To respond to a request from Old Line/WesBanco about the impact of COVID on the church, we had to reflect on the changes our church has undertaken over the past 6 months. The conclusion is that God has really blessed us. Though done virtually, we all still get together on a weekly basis and we’ve even added additional opportunities to meet and pray seven days a week. Additionally, we have more visitors to join us now in service than before. And we have to praise God that our members are still faithfully supporting the financial obligations of the church. At every turn, God has turned what could have been a stressful challenge into a blessing. For this we are thankful. Attached is the COVID impact statement submitted to Old Line/WesBanco that highlights more of God’s blessings.
Evidence that we were blessed to be able to continue with our regular church programming is the Hour of Power prayer time that we hosted. Upcoming in another month or so, we will host another event, a town hall which will examine ways that we can help bridge the racial divide in our communities. We’ve engaged a panel of experts who are experienced in facilitating discussions on race and who will present ways that we can be more effective in responding to racial incidents that may surface. In preparation for this, feel free to reply to this email or use the prayer request option on our website to submit topics and questions you’d like the panelist to discuss. Profiles about the panelists will be forthcoming in a week or two.
