An Hour of Prayer is an Hour of Power
Dear MBC Church Family,
The signs are evident. The spirit of independence, among those who view restrictions put in place to maintain public safety as an infringement on their rights, is already taking its toll. After many parts of the country were able to bring their rate of infections under control, some hospitals are again operating at full capacity and many more are close behind. Within a couple of weeks, the pain resulting from so many people feeling so liberated will be felt widespread and will become unfathomable. That is, unless God intervenes.
Similar to our Virtual Day of Prayer, we will host An Hour Of Power, an hour in prayer, during which time we’ll minister to churches and others who may find themselves going through the trial of their lives. As we introduce the prayer time with the promises found in Psalm 91, we will relay a message of hope and encouragement from the Lord to whomever can make it on the call. Even though they may feel like they can barely hold on, we want to give them reassurances directly from God that “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.” He has them safely in His care and He will not let them go.
If you know of anyone who may want to join us during An Hour Of Power prayer time, please forward the attached flyer. We’ll use the same Skype link and phone numbers that we have for our other services. We also plan to host a virtual town hall a couple of weeks later to address the topic of racial injustice and what our response to it should be. Let me know if you have suggestions for individuals who may be able to lead a discussion on this topic
