The Hope Of God’s Protection

Dear MBC Church Family,

Be not dismayed whate’er betide, God will take care of you.  That’s the message we want to convey to anyone who attends the Hour of Power prayer time on Thursday.  The public in many of the southern and western states is slowly coming to realize the extent of a preventable disaster that’s only now beginning to hit them.  After dismissing the impact of the corona virus and its ease of transmission, they are now seeing how their decisions to mock public safety warnings have led to a crisis of care at hospitals with no end in sight, only gloom along the way.

However, God is extending the hope of His protection to those who believe in Him, and we are basing that hope on His promises found in Psalm 91:

·       No harm will befall you, no disaster will come near you

·       A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.

·       “I will rescue him; I will protect him,” says the LORD.

·       “I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him”

As a result, there’s no need to fear “the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.”  Believers experiencing a storm surge all around them and feeling like they need something to hold on to can trust in these truths to make it through the dark days to come.

If you know of anyone who may want to join us during An Hour Of Power prayer time, please forward the attached flyer.  Also attached is the ad that’s appearing in the Bowie Blade-News.  We’ll use the same Skype link and phone numbers that we have for our other services.  We also plan to host a virtual town hall a couple of weeks later to address the topic of racial injustice and what the Christian response to it should be.

Continue to let your family and friends know that they can join us remotely by Skype: https://join.skype.com/P8TRBZjej8aU; by conference call: Dial-in: (978) 990-5159, Access Code: 294069; or by direct dial without an access code: (339) 209-5068.   If lines are busy, text the following to either number: CALL ME.  The conference line will call you back.  Follow the prompts to join.
