God Still Watches Over His Own
Dear MBC Church Family,
A Letter From The Eye Of The Storm: I’m sorry I missed the call yesterday. Hurricane Sally clobbered my county. The eye went right over my house and it was still a Category 2 when it passed us. Thankfully, my family and I are all safe and other than a couple of minor leaks in my living room, even my house is ok. Yesterday I had no internet even on my phone, no power and very poor cellular service. I stayed home to try to clean up all the yard debris. We had a lot of limbs and some trees down that I had to clean up. We still have to clean up some fairly large trees, limbs, and one huge oak which was literally uprooted. But, I am back at work today. (PJ, coworker from Alabama, a day after the hurricane made landfall)
During a time when it seems like we’re being hit by plagues of Biblical proportions—fires so intense on the West Coast that the smoke lingers in the air over the East Coast; devastating flooding in the South that resulted from four months of rain being dumped within four hours; and the continued pandemic that claims American lives at the rate of 3-4 commercial airliners crashing every single day—it is good to know that God still watches over His own.. As PJ can testify, Psalm 91 has never been more real than now. Thank God for the shelter that He gives in the midst of turbulent times.
Let’s continue to invite our family and friends to join us remotely for service by Skype: https://join.skype.com/P8TRBZjej8aU or by conference call: (339) 209-5068.
