He Will Save You From The Snare
Dear MBC Church Family,
The numbers are in. During this pandemic, jurisdictions have been caught between the need to protect lives and the need to protect their livelihood. After several weeks of focusing on the former, many states decided to lift their stay-at-home orders for Memorial Day to try to salvage a sagging economy. Now they are seeing the results. Regions of the country that escaped the initial brunt of the pandemic are now experiencing their highest infections yet.
Lives and livelihood lost due to the pandemic was only the beginning of sorrows. Next came a rude awakening to the extent of racial injustice pervasive in our society and the demands for fundamental change. Now we’re getting ready to confront a new wave of natural disasters soon to wash ashore. We get the impression that God is standing at the door and knocking, waiting for an invitation to enter. But, a fitting reminder during this time is this:
Psalm 91
3 Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence.
4 He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
5 You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day,
6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.
Our prayer is that as a country, we’ll finally let Him come in. Let’s continue to pray for our nation and its leaders, our churches and families, and for each other. Feel free to come by the church or join us remotely at noon any day of the week as we pray for healing and peace.
Members and friends have asked about ways to donate to the church during this time of pandemic. We’ve now set up a link on the church’s website to process credit/debit card donations. These options are now available:
